Fungal Nail Treatment
Restore healthier-looking nails with professional fungal nail treatment at Medispa. Using advanced laser technology, we target the source of fungal nail infections to help clear the infection, improve the appearance of affected nails and support healthy nail regrowth.

What is Fungal Nail Treatment?
Fungal nail infections are a common condition that can cause nails to become thickened, discoloured, brittle and difficult to manage. Left untreated, the infection can spread and may become more difficult to treat over time.
At Medispa, we use the Harmony XL Pro™ Nd 1064nm laser to target the fungal infection beneath the nail plate without damaging the surrounding tissue. This clinically proven, non-invasive treatment helps eliminate the fungus at its source, allowing healthy nails to grow back naturally over time.

Why Choose Fungal Nail Treatment?
Laser fungal nail treatment offers an effective alternative to topical creams and oral medications by targeting the infection directly beneath the nail. The treatment is quick, comfortable and suitable for most people, helping you regain healthier-looking nails with minimal disruption to your daily routine.

How does Fungal Nail Treatment work?
Our fungal nail treatment uses the Harmony XL Pro™ Nd 1064nm laser to deliver controlled energy through the nail plate, targeting the fungal infection beneath the surface. The laser helps destroy the fungus while leaving the surrounding skin and nail tissue unharmed, allowing a healthy nail to grow back over time.
The Treatment Process:
Consultation – We'll assess your nails, discuss your symptoms and confirm you're suitable for treatment.
Test Patch – A small test patch may be carried out before your first appointment.
Laser Treatment – The laser is applied to the affected nail or nails, targeting the fungal infection beneath the nail plate.
Healthy Nail Regrowth – As the infection clears, healthy nail growth gradually replaces the damaged nail over the following months.

“Very kind and considerate staff. Great treatment too.”

Nail Fungal Treatment FAQs
Fungal nail infections are usually caused by fungi entering the nail through small cracks or damage to the nail or surrounding skin. They commonly develop after athlete's foot or through exposure to warm, damp environments such as communal changing rooms and swimming pools.
No. Most clients find the treatment comfortable and do not require any anaesthetic. You may feel a warming sensation during the laser treatment, but it is generally well tolerated.
Most clients require around three treatment sessions, although this can vary depending on the severity of the infection and how many nails are affected. Your practitioner will recommend the most appropriate treatment plan during your consultation.
The fungal infection is treated during your course of sessions, but the damaged nail needs time to grow out naturally. Most people begin to notice visible improvements within three to six months as healthy nail replaces the infected nail.
Yes. While laser treatment effectively targets the fungal infection, reinfection is still possible. Practising good foot hygiene, keeping your feet clean and dry, changing socks regularly and treating conditions such as athlete's foot promptly can all help reduce the risk of the infection returning.
