What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is an advanced treatment that boosts, hydrates, tighten and improves the skin. Injected into the skin to remodel the skin by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. This then improves the skin tone, hydration and the overall appearance of facial fine lines.
Containing high concentrations of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) it is specially formulated for people whose skin lacks elasticity and volume. Rather than filling and plumping wrinkles, the slow release of HA in Profhilo really stimulates the skin reversing the signs of ageing.
How does Profhilo work?
HA is hydrophilic, which means that it draws and retains water from your body. Profhilo acts as a hydrator rather than a filler, which simply plumps the skins. This means that is it ideal for those with tired and dull-looking skin. Completely transforming it into a firm and glowing skin.
The treatment is done in two stages (two visits). One treatment and then the second 4 weeks later. While initial results show within a few days of the treatment optimum results show around week 8 and last for up to 6 months. Throughout this time the collagen and elastin production is stimulated encouraging skin tightening.

Everything you need to know about Profhilo Face Treatment at Medispa S10
Profhilo is injected just beneath the surface of the skin over the 2 sessions (4 weeks apart). It then disperses quickly below the skin to improve hydration, with no need for massage or risk of lumps. Profhilo is absorbed within a 2cm area of where it is injected. On average around 10 injections are needed to cover the face. The needles are incredibly small and cause very little discomfort.
Profhilo requires very little recovery time, meaning most people can continue with their day as normal. It is recommended that you avoid physical activity such as sports, on the first day of treatment. This also includes the use of sauna or hot baths/showers for the first couple of days. Like most treatments it is advised not expose the skin to strong UV light during this period.
The good news is that optimum results are achieved after this time. So if you are planning on having the treatment before a holiday best to get booked in around 2 months before you jet off.
